Igor Slivac obtained his degree in biochemical engineering (2003) and Ph.D. in bioprocess engineering (2008) at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology (FFTB). In 2009 he made his habilitation, and was given a position in the Laboratory for cell culture technology and Biotransformation at FFTB. As a postdoctoral researcher he worked in the National Research Center – Montreal (Canada) and the Universite Laval (Quebec City, Canada) (2010-2014). In 2017 he became an associate professor and currently he works as a lecturer, student supervisor and investigator in the field of animal cell technology. His professional interest includes: cell culture media composition, cell transfection, tissue engineering and virus particle production. Igor is author of numerous scientific publications and reports, conference presentations and a book chapter.
